The RWM Expo 2025
RWM Expo Round up
We had the pleasure of joining over 10,000 recycling and waste management professionals at this year’s Resource and Waste Management Expo.
Based in the LARAC Lounge, a dedicated space for local government professionals, we had the opportunity to connect face-to-face with so many of you. It was great to hear about your unique challenges and discuss how the right booking solutions can drive much-needed efficiencies.
Events like RWM are invaluable. They give us the chance to listen, learn, and take away insights that directly shape our roadmap. Every conversation helps us refine our platform to offer even more value, flexibility, and control to waste teams, keeping us grounded in real-world needs and ensuring our solution continues to lead the way in HWRC management.
A consistent theme that came through time and again was the shift from “why do we need bookings?” to “how do we make bookings work?”
Authorities without a system are seeing the clear, proven impact of bookings done right. More and more, councils now view bookings as an inevitable part of service optimisation, essential for managing demand, improving resident experience, and delivering data-driven efficiency.
But speaking to teams face-to-face, it’s clear not every rollout achieves the same success. Beyond a flexible, service-specific, and technically advanced product, councils need suppliers who have helped define the processes, standards, and best practices that underpin today’s booking-led operations.
It’s not just about technology. It’s about consultancy, collaboration, and the shared insight of the wider HWRC community. The most successful authorities treat bookings as a strategic service, not just a form to collect visitor details.
Simply launching a basic booking form won’t deliver the same outcomes seen across mature, data-led implementations. It was refreshing to hear so many authorities place real value on long-term results, proven impact, and continuous improvement rather than quick fixes or cost-cutting alternatives.
We’re committed to driving these conversations forward and helping local authorities build solutions that deliver real results and long-term value.
